Encaustic painting is an art form using beeswax and damar resin (a tree sap). Multiple layers of this beeswax/damar combination are heated and layered on hard surfaces, usually wooden panels. Each layer of wax is fused with a heat torch.
I am an encaustic artist who hails from Central Florida. I am mother of five, grandmother of eight and wife of Jon. Although I have only been involved in encaustic art since 2012, I feel that I have found a passion that will entertain me for the remainder of my life. I love experimenting with different styles and mediums and colors. Encaustic art is fascinating in its ebb and flow process and the luscious feel of the molten wax.
Thank you for appreciating my art and supporting artists everywhere.
